For over a decade Yum Yum Dining, named for the iconic Yum Yum tree opposite, has been a mainstay of the Central Coast dining scene. With endless views across the sparkling water of Hardys Bay, premium ingredients cooked to perfection and a laid-back, friendly atmosphere, it’s a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike.
Established by Brian Lizotte in 2004, Yum Yum Dining quickly gained popularity. The charm of the restaurant (both then and now) is its cosy size and casual feel, combined with food that punches well above its weight.
Current owners Clinton Brown and Hayley Collis firmly believe that fine dining doesn’t have to be stuffy or pretentious. Nestled into the charming waterfront village of Hardys Bay, Yum Yum Dining embraces the local vibe and is friendly and relaxed.
Since taking over the restaurant in 2017 locals Hayley and Clinton have concentrated on making Yum Yum Dining an accessible fine dining venue. While the menu showcases Clinton’s impressive career as a chef, they have also retained those past dishes that were well-loved favourites. Given the location, there is a focus on fresh seafood but the well-rounded menu offers delicious options for all tastes.
Yum Yum Dining feels a little European with its intimate seating, pavement tables and views across bobbing boats. Like a wonderful village trattoria or bistro that you discover while on holiday. And Clinton’s food has a sophistication that makes the discovery a true find!
